We have discovered an issue with running our back end services under Resin with the watchdog. When the service runs out of memory the watchdog will restart it. I can see this as really useful behaviour on a server that is stateless such as a web server. For us this is an issue as our back in servers use memory for the system of record. When we have something run away and use up all memory we don't want it to restart as this will prevent us from investigating what went wrong. |
