0002677: unserialize exception from drupal

We're still getting the following error:

/sites/dz/main/includes/bootstrap.inc:385: Notice: java.io.IOException: expected '"' at '&65533;' (0xc2) [unserialize]

Unfortunately, there's not actually any variables cache entry in our cache table, so I'm somewhat at a loss.
