0004402: watchdog stop issue

For a long time now I've been using a watchdog service to manage multiple resin instances. On all the machines Ive installed 4.0.15 on however, although I can start an instance, when i try and stop one I get

Resin/4.0.15 can't stop -server 'dynamich' for watchdog at 127.0.0.1:6700.
com.caucho.bam.RemoteConnectionFailedException: ActorError[type=cancel,group=remote-connection-failed,text=Cannot connect to http://127.0.0.1:6700/hmtp [^]
java.io.IOException: Unexpected response HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error]

I then have to resort to a kill -9 <pid>

Any other people seen this?
