the /etc/init.d/resin file, when it starts the command it says:

          su $USER -c """$JAVA -jar $RESIN_HOME/lib/resin.jar $ARGS start""" 1>
/dev/null 2>/dev/null

so, when a java error arises, nobody notices it. Could be this fixed with
this:

          su $USER -c """$JAVA -jar $RESIN_HOME/lib/resin.jar $ARGS start"""
1>>$CONSOLE 2>>$CONSOLE

and

          CONSOLE=/var/log/resin/console.log

put at the beginning of the file. In that way, every error in the starting will
be registered (even if the machine is restarted and nobody monitors it).
