0001060: EL with resin:set and resin:import

I am having problem with EL objectsnot being is inherited
when resin:import is involved.

I have the following in my resin.conf:

<server>
<resin:import>
<path>${resinHome}/conf/server.cf</path>
</resin:import>

<host>
<resin:import>
<path>${resinHome}/conf/host.cf</path>
</resin:import>
</host>

</server>

In server.cf, I have:

<resin:set var="env" value="env_server"/>
<resin:log>env set in server level to ${env}</resin:log>

In host.cf, I have:

<resin:log>env set in host level to ${env}</resin:log>

The output in my log file shows that the variable is not set in the
host level:

[2006-04-18 13:54:58.464] env set in server level to env_server
[2006-04-18 13:54:58.723] env set in host level to

This works if everything is in resin.conf. So it looks like
the fact that <resin:import> is used is causing the variable
not to be inherited. Is this configuration not supported?
This is with resin pro 3.0.18.
