0004552: ejb: static methods

Description

Beans can't have static methods.

I have bean with private static method for internal purposes, for ex.

protected static void checkDate(Date date) throws Exception;

Resin trying to generate bean proxy code and override it, but error occured:
"overridden method is static"

My application works in JBoss 5, 6.
