0001872: regex conditionals for Wordpress 2.2.1

Description

Wordpress 2.2.1 does not work, but earlier versions do.

Cause: conditional regular expressions of the form ?(code)a|b.
Java built-in regular expression library does not support conditionals.

Workaround:
revert this change: http://trac.wordpress.org/changeset/5736 [^]
