0001196: wordpress and mail

We're trying to install Wordpress on the latest version of
Resin on Windows and it seems that the mail() function does not work
(even though we have mail.jar and activation.jar in resin/lib). In
addition, it seems we cannot create new users because the form
validation thinks there is no username entered. Have you run into this
before?
