| Summary: | 0001198: Hessian licensing changes | ||||
| Description: |
(rep by Simon Kitching) The website "http://www.caucho.com/hessian" [^] states that this download is licensed under "The Apache License". In general, the source files do contain an ASL1.1 license clause. However some of the source files instead contain a GPL license statement, particularly: com/caucho/hessian/*.java com/caucho/hessian/micro/*.java If this download is truly intended to be available under the Apache Software License version 1.1, I would greatly appreciate it if you could do the following: (a) update the source files to contain the appropriate license (b) add a text file containing the license to the source distribution (c) ideally, include the license in the META-INF directory of the jarfile for future builds (d) put a statement on the website indicating that 3.0.13 really is intended to be licensed under the ASL1.1, despite the source code. Alternatively, a 3.0.14 release with the above changes would solve the issue. |
